چکیده

Abstract The aluminium alloys 5052 and 6082 are extensively used in manufacturing lighter structural members, having improved strength resistance to corrosion. Magnesium (Mg) Chromium (Cr) powder were the filler materials selected for enhanced corrosion protection properties this investigation. Friction stir welding (FSW) process parameters viz., spindle speed, shoulder penetration, centre distance between holes ratio forecast minimum rate from different weld regions of AA5052-AA6082 dissimilar joints. Response surface methodology based on a central composite design was evolve mathematical models estimate FSW joints’ rates. optimization shows that achieved by speed 1000 rev/min, 125 mm/min, spacing 2 mm 95% Mg 5% Cr.

Liquation Cracking of Dissimilar Aluminum Alloys during Friction Stir Welding

A liquation cracking mechanism of dissimilar Al alloys during the friction stir welding (FSW) is suggested in this study. To identify the mechanism, the precipitates were analyzed and Al-Mg-Cu phase diagrams were calculated. Electron backscattering diffraction (EBSD) analysis and electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) were also conducted. In the same manner as constitutional liquation, at high hea...
